A farm in the heart of the Tuscan countryside
Roots, passion, hard work give life to the Vialto dream. The dream came true: we restored the old family farmhouse, that dates back to the XVI century. We fixed every single stone, we repaired the ceiling and the windows, we made everything safe and we were able to keep the original country atmosphere. We planted new trees and took care of the old ones. What does ‘Vialto’ mean? The name looks at the future because it’s the combination of the initials of the names of our three children: Vittoria, Alberto, Tommaso
We organize lunches, wine tasting, cooking classes, outdoor activities and we also sell our typical Tuscan products and wine on line.
From Tuscany to the cuisine from all over the world.
It’s very true our roots keep us close to our territory, our traditional recipes, and made us respectful for the environment, but we were born curious and we are totally open to the whole world. Davide, the father of Vialto, has peasant origins, half of Tuscany and half of Veneto. He spent his childhood in the countryside near Pisa, in his granny’s kitchen, in the family butcher’s shop and the family restaurant.
As soon as he had the chance, he travelled all over the world to learn foreign languages and get familiar with different cultures. He worked as a chef for the Orient-Express chain and in several hotels in Denver, New York, Venice, and Florence.
When he came back home full of new experiences, knowledge and well aware of the value of his own land, Davide decided to share everything welcoming everybody making them know the dream of the Tuscan good living.
A family dream
Eventually the dream, chased for years, came true. At Vialto farm you might see Davide walking barefoot in the garden, singing a famous opera aria while he is picking up the herbs and the vegetables before standing over the stoves!
Francesca, Davide’s wife never stands still, but her happy smile makes you feel at home.
Vittoria, the eldest child, will show you the property around, riding her beloved horses. Aunt Nicoletta and Uncle David from Livorno, are definitely factotum, always ready to joke and happy to fill your glass. Then the two lovely dogs Ugo and Gino, the hens and their fresh eggs, the romantic carriage, the prized truffle, the olive trees, the vineyards.

If you’re not planning to come to the farmhouse, we’ll bring Tuscany to your home. In 2020, such a difficult year for travelling and personal contact, we decided to create Vialto web site, a shop on line where you can have the chance to sit at our table even if you live miles away.
